Well, your TONGUE is actually the only human "organ" (YES, your tongue is actually a human ORGAN!) that we have daily access to aside from your skin (yep, your skin is an organ too) - and is a key diagnosis tool in Chinese Medicine.

YOUR TONGUE IS UNIQUE BECAUSE IT reflects both the health and well-being of your body's systemic functions - such as digestion, elimination, fluid metabolism, your body's temperature regulation (i.e. too hot, too cold, etc.) - AS WELL AS being an excellent reflection of emotional health and balance/imbalance.

We inspect all the finite nuances of color, shape, cracks and coating on your tongue - detailing each in our notes, and using this information (coupled with Pulse-taking, palpation and intake questioning) to attain a diagnosis.

From day one in Chinese Medicine School, every student starts a dedicated study of the human tongue - with the goal of studying a different person's tongue daily. I know! That's a lot of tongue! However, tongue diagnosis is truly just, good old fashioned tool of medicine. Once upon a time, Western Medical Doctors used tongue diagnosis with every exam - and they did so for a reason. THE TONGUE TELLS ALL!

Chinese medicine practitioners look at your tongue because it reflects the state of your internal organs and overall health. The tongue’s color, coating, shape, and texture can indicate imbalances in the body. This diagnostic method helps guide treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. Just like how tongue analysis reveals health patterns, nursing students use tools like hesi exit exam help to diagnose their own readiness before graduation. Both approaches aim to detect issues early and improve outcomes
