Oncology Support:
For Patients inTreatment & Remission

We work with people through all stages of cancer care and beyond - whether you are newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, or in remission.

Cancer treatments can be extremely taxing to the body and emotionally exhausting - with numerous, often debilitating, side effects. We offer adjunct, supportive therapies to address the emotional and physical impact of Western treatment in all stages of care.

Acupuncture and supportive therapies have proven to reduce both physical and emotional side effects, relieve pain, strengthen the body and increase overall resilience.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) began evaluating the safety and effectiveness of acupuncture over 20 years ago – culminating extensive research confirming its many benefits as a supportive therapy to cancer patients and survivors.

Studies have shown, that for the vast majority of patients, treatment with acupuncture either relieves symptoms or prevents their progression.

Research:

  • Address Anxiety / Depression

  • Reduce Neuropathy

  • Improved Immune Function

  • Nausea Relief

  • Reduced Pain – Less Medication Needed

BENEFITS INCLUDE:

  • Improved Appetite

  • Improved Energy

  • Reduce / Prevent Lymphedema

  • Improved Sleep

Specialized Training & Care

At Seven Point Wellness, Cristina R. de La Mar, M.S., L.Ac., Doula oversees supportive therapies for oncology patients.

Cristina has specialized cancer-care training through Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and stays actively engaged in current research and protocols.

She is also experienced treating patients throughout the immunotherapy process, and a wide range of Clinical Trials. Her goal is to work with patients and their Western Medical team to develop safe, effective and individualized treatment plans.

Supportive therapy focuses on optimizing overall physical and emotional health – to best prepare for the rigors of Western Oncology treatments – whether before, during and after interventions such as surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.

For “survivors” and those in “remission” – Acupuncture and supportive therapies can continue to optimize both physical and emotional health as you move forward living your life to the fullest.
