Things are shifting in the Tri-State area and nationwide, with many healthcare facilities returning to more stringent mask-wearing policies. At Seven Point Wellness masks are optional, but given the significant increase in COVID, RSV, and the impact of the Winter flu season - right now we recommend them in our clinic. This applies particularly if you are immunocompromised, recovering from an illness or surgical procedure, or have other underlying conditions.
As a healthcare facility, we are bound by more stringent preventative guidelines. We treat a wide variety of health concerns - including oncology, severely immunocompromised and pregnant patients. While all patients may be vulnerable to COVID, RSV and the Flu - some patients are at much higher risk of life-threatening illness if they were to be exposed.This is true even with the less virulent COVID strains.
We encourage everyone to think preventatively, and to consider mask-wearing when in highly crowded areas, businesses or when entering other healthcare facilities. If we all stay healthy, we can all keep doing what we love to do!
