Our newly established location in Chelsea, NYC makes Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine services easily accessible to Professional Athletes, Performers and Dancers. As with all our patients, we take a whole person, holistic approach to working with each patient.

For Professional Athletes, Performers and Dancers, who use their bodies at the highest level, often for extended periods of time, their work depends on them being at their peak every day. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine techniques like Therapeutic Medical Massage, Cupping, and Gua sha are wonderful options to keep those who depend upon their physical strength and agility injury-free and performing at their best. Phil works with each patient individually to craft specific supportive exercises that integrate the whole body, and aid in the functional movement needed for their particular skillset. His focus lies in aiding with preparation and recovery - emphasizing endurance, flexibility, and recuperation.

At Seven Point Wellness our primary objective when working with athletes, performers and dancers, is to ensure they remain pain-free and resilient as they navigate their sports' season or prepare for specific events, thereby enhancing their competitive advantage. We address issues such as muscle and tendon flexibility, joint mobility, and reduced recovery time after training, to best protect them from potential injuries. Our extensive Health History Intake process ensures we create targeted maintenance programs for our patients, and fluidly manage their tendencies and/or their existing chronic conditions.

We prioritize endurance, recovery, and preventing "burnout" - a common consequence of over-training and mid-season fatigue. Our approach emphasizes the importance of balanced training and post-workout recovery, facilitating a comfortable and gradual recuperation process. This is the best way to guide the patient back to an appropriate level of physical activity during their recovery or training, and contributes to longevity in the athlete’s respective field as well as enhancing overall quality of life.

We also place emphasis on performance enhancement with quality nutritional and lifestyle recommendations and building core-strength, to ensure consistent performance throughout the season or during specific events. Lastly, we address mental focus and anxiety reduction, recognizing the importance of maintaining emotional balance and focus for peak performance during training, performance, and competition.
