SEVEN STAR NEEDLING
(PLUM BLOSSOM)

Seven Star needling, or "Plum Blossom" needling, is the use of specialized acupuncture needles to stimulate an area of the body superficially (on the surface) by tapping until the site becomes red or elicits mild bleeding. The Seven-Star needle is a special tool composed of five to seven tiny needles attached to a wand-like handle and arranged in a circular shape - like a plum blossom.

This technique is utilized to invigorate and smooth the Qi (vital life source), and to move or disperse Qi stagnation and blood stasis. It is especially effective for treating painful areas, trauma, and the early stages of cold symptoms, as it will drain heat in cases of high fever.

It is also used in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy, Seborrheic Alopecia, Tourette's syndrome, facial paralysis, or as an adjunctive therapy to help reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels in obese patients with hyperlipidemia.
