ABOUT SEVEN POINT WELLNESS
Seven Point Wellness is the group practice of Cristina R. de La Mar, M.S., L.Ac., Doula and Phil Veneziano, M.S., L.Ac.. We bring together our combined training and experience to provide expanded services and a broader range of expertise to all our patients. Our scope of practice includes Acupuncture,
Herbal Medicine, Nutrition and various forms of hands-on Therapeutic Bodywork.
Our patients have access to either, or both Practitioners, depending on which area of expertise is most relevant to their condition over the course of treatment. We find this an ideal way to meet the diverse needs of many, while still providing highly individualized care.
TRAINING & LICENSING
We are Nationally Board Certified, New Jersey State Licensed Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners with an integrative, whole-person approach.
Our academic and clinical training is grounded in the most current applicable research and best practices in our field. We continue to pursue ongoing learning opportunities both in the field, the classroom and our ongoing clinical experiences.
We completed Fellowships at the Integrative Medicine Department at Mt. Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY - providing inpatient care throughout the hospital (2009-2013) within multiple departmental settings - including: Orthopedic Surgery & Rehabilitation, Family Medicine, Oncology, General Surgery, Pain and Palliative Care, Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Neurology and Pediatrics among others.
NEW JERSEY COMMUNITY
Aside from private practice, we are deeply rooted in community - both locally and globally. We often sponsor or donate to local township events and fundraisers – and commit time and services to high need children and families in rural, urban and tribal communities, as well as in disaster areas.
In support of the Performing Arts community, we offer treatment to singers, dancers, actors and musicians.

In addition to her Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) training, she is also a NADA Certified Detox & Trauma Specialist, a DONA trained Labor and Delivery Doula, and a Member of the American Pregnancy Association.
Her clinical practice began with a Family and Internal Medicine focus treating complex conditions, but has evolved to include a large pre/post pregnancy and adolescent health focus.
She's developed individualized programs for women and their partners before, throughout and after pregnancy – including Labor and Delivery support and integrated Doula consultation. Her experience extends to Fertility & IVF Support, High Risk Pregnancies, Breech Presentation and Delayed Labor.
Prior to her work in TCM, she spent 20+ years working with diverse business, private, civic, cultural and non-profit communities as an Executive Director, Senior Manager and Independent Consultant. Much of her work focused on human rights issues related to community health, youth and families, and culturally based groups (Indigenous & Latino / Chicano).
Her Doctoral work (Stanford University) was the culmination of her life and work experience - using "real life stories," coupled with hard research to challenge the inequities of U.S. policy on the health of communities, families and children - and propose changes.
Cristina is a passionate believer of health care beyond a "Western-only" perspective – and openly advocates for the reintegration of traditional medical practices into public and private health care systems.
She remains an active advocate for family and child health as a Consultant for public policy, non-profits, governments, Tribes, health and educational institutions and Foundations throughout the U.S.

Phil oversees Physical Conditioning and Injury Management and Surgical Readiness and Recovery Services, with specialized programs for Beginning and Professional Athletes.
He also treats a wide range of General Health issues ranging from everyday Stress to more complex Neuro-degenerative illnesses, such as Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis.
He has become known for his work with chronic and acute musculoskeletal injury - including pre and post Orthopedic Surgical Recovery and Rehabilitation.
Treatment plans range from the healthy maintenance of everyday aches and pains, to the repair and rehabilitation of serious injury - with specialized programs for Athletes of all levels.
As a Certified Zheng Gu Tui Na Practitioner, Phil’s patients benefit from his in depth understanding of body mechanics and manual therapies.
Zheng Gu Tui Na engages gentle manipulations of the muscles, joints and tendons to bring the body back into balance. It is a powerful tool for treating both orthopedic and internal medical conditions, including back pain, sprains, tennis elbow, insomnia, high blood pressure, gastrointestinal issues and more.
He supplements treatment with corrective exercises combined with the use of topical herbal poultices, plasters and liniments. This approach provides for optimal results, without the side effects that pharmaceuticals sometimes produce
Phil has also designed specific protocols for "New Athletes" just beginning a fitness program, and working through the challenges their bodies encounter.
With Professional Athletes, he focuses on preparation for seasonal sports and post-event recovery (i.e. marathons, triathlons. etc.) - to help them compete at their very best, while maintaining a healthy balance during and after training.
At MT. Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center, he designed the Acupuncture protocols for the Dept. of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation.
As Lead Acupuncturist for the Peri-Operative Spine Study, he coordinated with the Dept. of Integrative Medicine at the Center for Health & Healing.
